COVID-19 Update - UCPS Closed
As COVID-19 cases increase across the state, Governor Roy Cooper has ordered all K-12 schools in the state to close. UCPS will be closed for students and staff through May 15th. Check the UCPS website for additional information.
UCPS released its phased-in COVID-19 Response Learning Plan. This plan will help guide remote learning opportunities during this school closure. Here is how UCPS will move forward:
Staff is prepared to roll out tentative remote learning schedules for middle and high school students. (Start dates: March 30 for high schools and April 1 for middle schools).
Staff and senior leaders continue to lean on the state for guidance as we move forward with remote learning opportunities for students.
As a reminder, elementary students were provided supplemental printed materials to support student learning at home for three weeks. Staff is discussing remote learning options for elementary students. As decisions are made, information will be shared.
Digital resources are available through the EmpowerED Family Portal for all grade levels.
Resources to Keep Kids Engaged and Learning
Here are some resources for parents looking to supplement the activities provided by the school and teachers. These are not sponsored or endorsed by the school or PTO, they are provided here for parents looking for additional activities for their kids during the school closure.
Birthday Rock Reservations
The rocks at the front of the school can be painted to celebrate your child's birthday. There is no cost to reserve a rock, but a reservation is required.

Box Tops are Going Digital
Download the new Box Tops App to scan your receipt. It's as easy as taking a picture! The old Box Tops can still be used until they expire! So don't throw them out! Continue to send them in and drop them in the bin at the front entrance.
The school is using a new electronic flyer communication tool called Peachjar. To view school-approved digital flyers, click the Peachjar button.
