Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year and the Antioch PTO!
The Antioch PTO is a group of dedicated parents who volunteer their time in a collaborative effort with the Antioch teachers and administration in order to provide support and resources to the school and staff. Our goal is to create a supportive academic environment for the students and staff of Antioch Elementary and to provide our students with the most effective learning tools. There are no dues or requirements for membership to the PTO other than being a parent of an Antioch student and a desire to provide our students with the best educational experience.
The 2016-2017 school year was a great success as we incorporated several new events and made various upgrades to both the interior and exterior of our school as well as several technological improvements. Through our fundraising efforts, we were able to provide our students with new technology, educational resources, new furniture in the Media Center and a state of the art broadcasting system in the school cafeteria-- (Cafe Connection). All of this, of course, could not have been possible without the continued generosity of our families, their respective businesses, and our local community.
In the upcoming 2017-2018 school year, our PTO will have several fundraising events all in an effort to continue to provide Antioch with educational technology and strong academic resources. Your support of our Gatorthon Capital Campaign, Bingo & Basket Night and participation in our Free Money Programs helps us to continue our strong commitment in supporting our teachers and students.
Everything we do could not be possible without our dedicated volunteers, who donate their time and talent to support our school. From volunteering in your child’s classroom to working in the Copy Center, to helping plan fundraising activities, these parent volunteers are vital in providing our students with an environment for academic success. There are many opportunities for you to be a volunteer this year. Please check out our volunteer tab for a complete list of events, open committee chair positions and leadership opportunities.
We are all very excited about the upcoming year and the changes that will come with it. We have lots of fun events planned and a new grant support system in place for Antioch teachers.
This year will be one to remember!
